Take Home Truths: I Have A Home

Take Home Truths: I Have A Home

Take Home Truths: Heaven is our home

Romans 8:1 There is now no condemnation and for those who are in Christ Jesus

Live our Christian life from Gratitude not Guilt

Romans 8:14 For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.

My MIND is a spiritual battlefield

The Spirit changes my tastebuds

Sick of sin/ Enjoy God

The Spirit whispers his ways

“What would you have me think”

I have everything I need because I am adopted by God

Romans 8:18I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.

Paul is not an armchair sufferer

2 Corinthians 11:24-27 Five times I received from the Jews the forty lashes minus one. Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was pelted with stones, three times I was shipwrecked, I spent a night and a day in the open sea, I have been constantly on the move. I have been in danger from rivers, in danger from bandits, in danger from my fellow Jews, in danger from Gentiles; in danger in the city, in danger in the country, in danger at sea; and in danger from false believers.I have labored and toiled and have often gone without sleep; I have known hunger and thirst and have often gone without food; I have been cold and naked.

Romans 8:18 Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later.

Romans 8:19-22 For all creation is waiting eagerly for that future day when God will reveal who his children really are. Against its will, all creation was subjected to God’s curse. But with eager hope, the creation looks forward to the day when it will join God’s children in glorious freedom from death and decay. For we know that all creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.

Romans 8:23-24 And we believers also groan, even though we have the Holy Spirit within us as a foretaste of future glory, for we long for our bodies to be released from sin and suffering. We, too, wait with eager hope for the day when God will give us our full rights as his adopted children, including the new bodies he has promised us. We were given this hope when we were saved.

Holy Spirit is a foretaste of heaven

I have a scar but not a wound

1 John 3:2 Dear friends, we are already God’s children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him

Real, touchable bodies

Luke 24:39Look at my hands. Look at my feet. You can see that it’s really me. Touch me and make sure that I am not a ghost, because ghosts don’t have bodies, as you see that I do.”
