Pray: Messy Pray

Messy Pray

What would have been like to be with Jesus?

Luke 5:16 But Jesus often withdrew to the wilderness for prayer.

Jesus enjoyed the presence of his Father and prayed heaven down to people

Messy Prayer

Matt. 26:36-39 Then Jesus went with them to the olive grove called Gethsemane, and he said, “Sit here while I go over there to pray.” He took Peter and Zebedee’s two sons, James and John, and he became anguished and distressed. He told them, “My soul is crushed with grief to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.” He went on a little farther and bowed with his face to the ground, praying, “My Father! If it is possible, let this cup of suffering be taken away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.”

Jesus trusts his Father

I seek to get my heart into such a state that it has no will of its own in a given matter. When you’re ready to do the Lord’s will, whatever it may be, nine-tenths of the difficulties are overcome. George Mueller

Trust God

Trust means, assured reliance on the character, ability, strength, or truth of someone.

Romans 15:13 I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Faith is inseparable from trust

Faith without trust is not faith.
