Carry Each Other’s Burdens

Gal. 6:2-5 Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. If anyone thinks they are something when they are not, they deceive themselves. Each one should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparing themselves to someone else, for each one should carry their own load.

No one is too important to serve

Don’t always ask for help

James 1:27 (Amplified) Pure and unblemished religion [as it is expressed in outward acts] in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit and look after the fatherless and the widows in their distress, and to keep oneself uncontaminated by the [secular] world.

1 Thess. 5:10-13 For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: “The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat.” We hear that some among you are idle and disruptive. They are not busy; they are busybodies. Such people we command and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ to settle down and earn the food they eat. And as for you, brothers and sisters, never tire of doing what is good.

Carry each other’s burdens

Too busy or important? Humble yourself and serve

Always wanting help? Be grateful and take care of yourself

Jesus only served the Father

John 8:28 I do nothing on My own initiative, but I speak these things as the Father taught Me.

John 5:30 “I can do nothing on My own initiative. As I hear, I judge

Servant leadership is not about serving other people

John 5:19-20 Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does.

First question is not…. Why isn’t anyone doing anything?

First questions should be… What do you want me to do Lord? When do you want me to do it? How do you want me to help?

Servant leadership means serving Jesus
