Summer Small Group: Women in the Old Testament
This small group, led by Dr. Paul Evans, will look at women characters in the Old Testament, and consider their significance in God’s story.
We will look at how women are characterized in the Old Testament, consider modern ideological approaches (e.g., feminist, postcolonial), and think about how biblical stories can contribute to the discussion of gender issues today.
Some of the characters we will look at include: Eve, Sarai/Sarah, Hagar, Lot’s daughters, Michal, Abigail, Bathsheba, Tamar, Jezebel, Athaliah, Rizpah, Vashti, and Esther.
WHEN: Monday evenings from 7–8:30 pm.
June 21, June 28, July 5
WHERE: Via Zoom!
